“ I was sceptical at first thinking this is just shaved ice or sorbet but it was better than expected. There are several different flavors to choose from and you can mix it with soft serve which was recommended to me. This is a not for profit and they help local Detroit area organizations. ”
“ What a great iced treat! It was really tasty and there was a variety of flavors to pick from. It was sorta hard to pick one. There were tons of celebrity pictures to look at while you were eating which made the atmosphere fun, and the service was great! Im not sure I would recommend the popcorn. We got a bag of caramel corn but didnt eat it, wasnt that good. ”

“ This place us great on a hot summers day. The interior of this place is quite small but their outdoor seating is great! The woman at the counter was really friendly and offered samples right away. I ended up getting the Mango and Strawberry lemonade ice?. The smallest portion they offer is really generous and its quite filling in my opinon. The flavors are all full of sugar so if you are looking for something light, this isnt it. They do soft serve mixed with the Ice and all sorts of other combinations. Overall, I liked it and will return especially on those extremely hot days! This a good alternative if youre not an ice cream fan! ”
“ Detroit Water Ice Factory is a fantastic concept of delicious treats for an amazing cause that gives back to the city in many ways! The gentleman that helped me was so kind and explained the entire concept. Their water ice is just like Italian ice but super flavorful and even the names represent the city. I highly recommend making it a Motown twist, which is a dollop of their INCREDIBLY creamy soft serve. They say it was voted best soft serve, I concur. I paired the vanilla with the Stafford strawberry lemonade and passionfruit ice... like, seriously, SO good. I also tried the caramel and butter popcorn flavors.. absolutely delicious!! Their brunch waffles look delish.. definitely on my list to try next time! DWIF is a nonprofit and their entire profits go to Say Detroit, a local charity. The young man said they even provided him a bike for getting to work. LOVE seeing good happen in the city and supporting businesses and organizations that embody that change! HIGHLY recommend you to check them out!! ”
“ Yummmyyy!!! The coconut, sour apple, and creamy cookie were great! Polite service and the outdoor seating was awesome. Make sure to ask for the soft serve if you want it paired with the water ice, it costs a little bit more but the alternative is just water ice by itself. ”

“ I once saw a guy teenager on the cash register miscount a customers change by 0.25 so the customer started yelling at him. The customer got one sentence out before a manager told the kid at the cash register to go to the back then she laid into the customer about bullying kids and his total lack of respect and humanity. Ive gone back 8 times after seeing that. 1010, the staff has never been anything but patient, professional and friendly with me. And the water ice is great too. I like Tigers blood. ”
